The original terracotta army dates back to 200BC but wasn’t discovered until 1974. The Warriors were created to protect the Emperor in the afterlife. There were approximately 8,000 Warriors along with Chariots, horses, and other figures. The original figures found in the Emperor’s tomb vary in height, with some reaching 6 feet 7 inches and no two are exactly alike. Originally the Warriors were painted with bright colors which have faded over time. The terracotta army is considered the eighth wonder the world.
